Sharpe Properties - Pointing you in the right direction...

Previously a Plymouth City Council office (Heather House) before being bought by Sharpe Properties with the intention of transforming it into student accomodation this building was ideally located in the heart of Plymouth University's campus.

Our idea of splitting this building into two separate self contained units, one housing five students and the other housing six, was granted in May 2003.

This build was completed in September 2003.

This site was previously occupied by a corner shop which was burnt to the ground and demolished in 1997. The land was unoccupied for the next 10 years and was a general eye saw on one of the busiest streets in Long Eaton until in January 2007 Sharpe Properties acquired it. Planning was soon applied for and granted to build a commercial and residential mixed unit later named Bloomer House after Dr. Bloomer, a famous physician who worked on this part of Derby Road in the late 19th century.

The challenging aspects of this build proved to be a lack of space (as all the land was taken up by the building) and the footings (due to unforeseen cellars and wells being discovered). This was soon overcome though and the rest of the build ran smoothly right up to completion in January 2008.

The building comprises three town houses on the Bridge Street side which are all very spacious two bed with double car ports on the ground floor, as well as a shop to the Derby Road side and a two bed flat above.

The shop, still owned by Sharpe Properties, is now used as our office comprising the building services side as well as an estate agents and letting agents.

This site was previously an orchard before being acquired by Sharpe Properties in June 2006. Planning was later granted for two 5 bedroom detached properties soon after and the build was completed in September 2007.

These two luxurious executive homes are in a prime location on the outskirts of the extremely popular village of Weston on Trent. Designed and constructed to the highest possible standard and offering a high level specification these newly constructed properties have character and style throughout.

This build was completed in September 2007.

This private renovation was started in March 2005 and comprised changing a three bed house into a five bed by utilising the loft space creating two new spacious rooms. The rest of the house was stripped back to the bare brick work, keeping original features where possibly and replacing old with quality new fixture and fittings. The garden was landscaped and a new garage and electric gates erected.

This build was completed in January 2006.
